Office Christmas Party
I like Christmas. I don’t really have any religious or spiritual connection with it, it’s just four weeks in the year when there’s lots of eating and drinking going on. Then, towards the end, people give you stuff you want wrapped up in colourful paper. What’s not to like?
Christmas also, of course, means parties. I like parties. So we went out for a little shindig around town with a two word mission statement: curry, drinks. Nice and simple.
We went to a well known Indian in town for some food. This isn’t a proper review so I’ll just give you a quick rundown: nice food, efficient service, bit of a bland, industrial interior, toilets a bit manky. Those last two points may be due to the fact that they’re moving venue in the new year (that’s the only clue you’re getting).
As you can see, drinks were drunk and curry was eaten:

And if we were sticking strictly to our two word mission statement, that would have been it. We would have gone home, put our PJs on and had a mince pie before going to bed. That wouldn’t be a Christmas do though, would it? So we had posh drinks:

And then some more posh drinks, with spider rings (loving your work, MB):

After that we went to a bar round the corner to continue the revelry. Then to another bar and...err...another. It was fun. I like Christmas parties. You can tell a good night was had when this is the last photo of the night on the camera:
