Vermilion offering special festival menu
There’s lots of stuff going on at the Manchester Food and Drink Festival this week, both in the temporary ‘tipis’ they’ve set up in Spinningfields and in the restaurants around the city. Vermilion, the amazingly lavish restaurant near Sport City, have a rather attractive offer on of a festival set menu plus unlimited wine for £35, available every day throughout October, except Fridays and Saturdays.
Their chef, Chumpol Jangrai, will also be doing a demonstration and tasting session in the Spinningfields ‘Learn’ tipi on Friday 10th October at 3pm. Definitely worth a look...and a taste.

Lemongrass Salmon
Grilled fillet of salmon marinated with lemongrass, served with a spicy mint sauce
Poo Jaa
Steamed crab meat in a crispy pastry shell, savored with coriander roots accompanied by a chili sauce
Guava salad with Lamb seeks Kebab*
Lamb seek kebab serve with guavas and cherry tomatoes in a red curry dressing
Vegetarian Tartlet
Spinach, goats cheese and onions served in a crispy tartlet

Phad Thai Khoong Sod*
Stir fried rice noodles with king prawns in tamarind sauce and chive
Kai baan Vin Da Loo*
Free range chicken slowly cook with fresh herbs and spices served with a Ro-Ti Parata
Phad Nor Mai Farang
Stir-fried green asparagus with Golden Pin mushrooms in aromatic oyster sauce
All served with steamed jasmine rice
