Fifth Year for Film Festival

Returning for its 5th Year, The Salford Film festival arrives on November 15th for 9 days of Salford inspired and produced film-related stuff. For a place that seems to be constantly battling for the recognition of being a city in its own right and not just part of Manchester (it’s not kids, really), they make quite a big deal about the festival being all about Salford. Not Manchester. Have you got that now?
And quite rightly too, from what we’ve seen of the programme this year. There’s a number of different things going on, from premiers, short films and animation to workshops and a whole section of the festival just for young film fans, with workshops for wannabe film makers. It’s mostly based around Salford Arts Centre and The Vue Cinema, Salford Quays, but have a look here for full details and listings. And remember, it’s in Salford, not Manchester.
