Sozzled Street Star punches above his weight
The Mirror carries an exclusive story about pint-sized Steve Arnold (better known as Our Ashleh from Corrie) getting sloshed and offering both Nigel Benn and Chris Eubank a fight.
A charity event was held at Old Trafford, home to one of the infamous bouts between the Dark Destroyer and Eubanks', entitled 'The War of the Words' with the former world champions returning to the boxing ring to discuss their lives, and their various run ins with each other, and the law (Eubanks' anti-war stance has earned him a good few court appearances)
Benn and Eubanks' reportedly had no idea what to do when Steve climbed in to the ring, who was at the event with the Michael Le Vell (Kevin from Corrie) and serial mong Darren Day, and the boxers left it to security to drag him out of the room, with the rest of the audience, who had shelled out £150 per ticket, booing.
A Granada spokesman said this: "It was all a bit of fun and part of an enjoyable charity evening. As far as Steven was concerned, he didn't do anything that would cause offence to anybody"
