Save Manchester 235

Another day, another venue gone. Teasers on Peter Street looks to have gone tits-up, as the doors are always locked and the phones have been disconnected. Never a good sign!

Their Amsterdam venue closed down last year, but their only UK branch had recently undergone a refurb and looked to be heading out of trouble. Oops.

The bar is located within the not so Great Northern Warehouse - a giant leisure complex that pales in comparison to the Printworks, which is embarassing enough. Relish and the Manchester 235 casino complex are the only reasons why you'd want to go in here, although the cinema is great if you want to avoid the queues (and there's free parking).

The recent announcement of the Manchester Super Casino was an unexpected kick in the teeth for Manchester 235 (and judging by their two page ads in the MEN, the know it!). It's actually a decent enough place to go, and it's going to be a few years before you can gamble over at Eastlands. If they listen to me then they can turn things around.

Get strippers in.

Seriously!

Manchester 235 already combines food, drink and gambling. Why not add a fourth vice? If they don't have any spare rooms, then just stick the dancing girls on the poker table. It'll distract the players, and they'll lose all their money.

You can pick up all the business that Teasers once had, and the Peter Street brigage know how to drink! Just think of all the profits you could make if you just lower your standards a smidgen


To the manager of Manchester 235 - please get in touch, as I have an even better idea that will earn you £MILLIONS. It's original, it's unique and the Super Casino will be kicking themselves that they didn't think of it first. You know my number.
